Withdrawal Policy
Students may freely add and drop courses during the first two weeks of the
course (see refund policy). After the second week of classes, students may
withdraw with a W recorded on their transcript. After the third week of
classes, students may withdraw with a WP ("withdraw pass") or WF
("withdraw fail"). Except when a medical leave of absence or other
emergency leave is granted, students may not withdraw from classes once
finals have started. In such a case, an I is given, and the student should
make up all course requirements no later than 30 days after the last day
of class of that course. In all cases, however, the student has 6-months
to complete the unfinished work and received a passing grade, or the I
will be converted to an F. Furthermore, a student may not register for the
next course in a sequence unless the I has been removed and at least a C
has been earned.
A request for withdrawal and refund must be made in writing and given to
the school's front office staff. NOTE: Written notice must be sent
by mail or delivered by hand (see refund policy-$25.00). Notice by e-mail
or other electronic means is not acceptable. The effective date of
termination of classes for refund purposes will be the last day of
attendance if the student is terminated from the school.
See Refund policy statement for cancellations of a course. A student who
is on a payment plan and owes money at the time of withdrawal will be held
responsible for any amount owed in accordance with the refund schedule.
All refund calculations will be based on the refund policy.

- student has failed to

required work. The end of one calendar year must make up all
requirements for the incomplete requirements. If the requirements
are not met by the end of that time, the student will automatically
be given a grade of "F" for the course. |
Incompletes and Final
Examination
The symbol I ("incomplete") may appear on the
transcript only when no further formal instruction is needed in a course,
but when students under circumstances outside of their control and beyond
their foresight are unable to complete some requirement of a course. The
instructor is required to inform the president of the student's particular
circumstances before an I can be approved. Generally, a student should
make up all course requirements no later than 30 days after the last day
of class. In all cases, however, a student receiving an I has one calendar
year to complete the unfinished work and received a passing grade, or the
I will be converted to an F. Furthermore, a student may not register for
the next course in a sequence unless the I has been removed and at least a
C has been earned.
